![]() PatientsPatient care is one of the three core tasks of Innsbruck Medical University. Putting the sick person at the centre of their concerns, the staff at the University Medical Center are responsible for high-quality regional and transregional patient care. Innsbruck Medical University works closely with the provincial government of the Tyrol and their institutional units. The Tiroler Landeskrankenanstalten Ges.m.b.H (Tilak, Tyrolean provincial hospitals limited liability company) provides vital support for patient care in terms of logistics and through their district hospitals. Information on various health issues is provided on the dedicated online platform GIN – health information network – and forms an essential part of patient care. Here you can also find useful information on the various facilities of the Tyrolean Health and Social Services. It is complemented by SoGIS, a social and health information service that offers targeted searches for care, advice, places in homes, etc. within the Tyrol and a summary of all participating organisations and what they offer. Individual departments of the University Medical Center offer a Mini Med studies programme, where an interested public can learn more about health, couched in easily understandable language. Apart from essential contact details, the departments of the University Medical Center inform their patients about the most important contact persons and outpatient times and about how to get there.
